Warm welcome at SARIS

“My adventure at SARIS began on February 15, 2007, a date I still remember well. I joined the company through a former colleague. At that time, my situation was challenging; I had suddenly become the breadwinner for my two children, aged 16 and 13. Although I was still working 20 hours a week at a potato wholesaler in Tilburg, SARIS offered me the opportunity to start full-time. After an application process, I started as an administrative assistant in the sales department. It was a time when I was in survival mode, but thanks to the warm welcome from the team, I quickly felt at home.”

"SARIS is more than just a workplace for me; it feels like a warm bath. (...) It is a culture of support and involvement that makes SARIS unique and that has allowed me to enjoy working here for 17 years."

Growth and Change

“Over the years, my duties at SARIS have constantly changed and evolved with the organization. After a restructuring of tasks, I ended up in the Planning & Order Processing department, where I now work. Planning is currently my main focus, and it is a task I enjoy doing. Although I am still in a learning phase, with the support of my colleague, I enjoy the challenge that planning trailers brings. From determining how many trailers need to be produced to organizing transport to customers, every day is a puzzle that I solve with enthusiasm.”

A Great Workplace

“SARIS is more than just a workplace for me; it feels like a warm bath. We work hard, but SARIS also gives you the space to get your personal affairs in order, something I greatly appreciate. The openness within the company has increased in recent years, especially since the introduction of the ‘Soapbox’, where we get more monthly insight into how the company is doing, what product developments are happening, and what activities are planned. And a good initiative is also ‘floor peeking,’ which I set up together with some colleagues from the office and production. In this, we go to other departments in small groups, where you get a brief explanation of the work being done and where you can ask questions. There is also room for sociability, such as decorating the canteen together at Christmas. These small things contribute to the pleasant working atmosphere that characterizes SARIS.”

The Power of Togetherness

“What really makes SARIS special for me are my colleagues. In difficult times, they are always there to help me through. The involvement of my colleagues is heartwarming and is certainly also a reason why I want to continue working at SARIS. This atmosphere of pulling together and of solidarity is also something I see in the new employees who come to work with us. It is a culture of support and involvement that makes SARIS unique and that has allowed me to enjoy working here for 17 years.”
