Tipping Made Easy
The SARIS electric tipper trailers are built for professionals who need efficiency and safety on the job. With a simple electric control system, tipping your load has never been easier. Whether you’re using a single axle, tandem axle, or tridem axle tipper, all SARIS Kipper trailers can be equipped with electric operation.
In this blog post, we’ll guide you step-by-step through the correct and safe use of the electric tipper system – including how to operate our three-way tipping trailer.
Safety First: Before You Tip
Before using your electric tipper trailer, it’s important to follow a few essential safety guidelines. A tipper is a powerful tool – and using it correctly prevents accidents or damage.
- Always keep the trailer coupled to a towing vehicle during use to avoid movement or instability.
- Check that the area around the trailer is clear of people and obstacles.
- Make sure the ground is level and stable to avoid tipping imbalance or trailer movement.
Using the Electric Tipping Control
Operating the SARIS electric tipper is simple, intuitive, and secure. Follow these steps for safe and smooth use:
- Open the sideboards on the side where you want to tip. This ensures the load can move freely out of the trailer.
- Go to the front of the trailer, where the control unit is located.
- The electric control is secured with a key lock. Turn the key a quarter turn to activate the system.
- Press the “Up” button to raise the trailer bed.
- Press the “Down” button to lower it back down.
Three-Way Tipping: How to Adjust the Tipping Direction
The three-way tipping trailer lets you unload not only to the rear, but also to the left or right side – ideal for narrow worksites or tight city spaces.
Here’s how to change the tipping direction:
- Remove the locking pin at the rear of the trailer on the side you don’t want to tip.
- Place this pin on the front side of the trailer on your chosen tipping side.
- The trailer will now tip in that direction.
- To reset for rear tipping, move the pin back to the original position at the rear.
It might sound technical, but it’s easier than it looks. That’s why we’ve created a clear instructional video, which you can find on our website or via the link in this article.
